What you may share with us
If you submit a lead form or contact request, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email address, venue name, optional website, revenue range, service interest, and any message you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request. As explained on the contact form, submitting an inquiry or requesting the playbook also signs you up for The Venue Margin newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime.
If you use a scheduling link, SavvyCal handles the booking flow and may collect the details needed to schedule the call. We use those scheduling details to prepare for and follow up on the conversation.
Attribution fields and cookies
If you allow analytics, we store a limited set of approved campaign labels and the page where you arrived to understand which pages and campaigns lead to inquiries. We exclude raw search terms, click IDs, full referring URLs, and unrecognized campaign values. We remember your cookie choice so you do not need to make it on every page. Forms and requested resources work without analytics consent.
How we use the information
We use submitted information to respond to inquiries, send requested resources, schedule and prepare for fit calls, follow up by email, understand which pages and campaigns are useful, and operate the site.
Site services we use
The site is hosted on Vercel. Postmark is used for transactional email delivery, such as sending requested resources. Buttondown is used for newsletter and marketing email signup, subscriber management, and unsubscribe handling. When you request newsletter signup, the site sends your requesting IP address to Buttondown so it can assess signup legitimacy and apply spam protections. SavvyCal is used for scheduling links and embedded scheduling. These providers process information needed to deliver their parts of the site and inquiry workflow. Supabase stores private request identifiers, delivery outcomes, rate-limit records, and limited scheduling records so we can prevent duplicate requests and verify booking notifications.
Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and actions such as accepted inquiries and resource requests. Analytics uses random browser and session identifiers. We do not send your name, email, venue details, form messages, or complete query strings to Google Analytics. Google processes technical connection information when its service loads. You can change your choice using Analytics Preferences on any page. Declining stops analytics from loading; withdrawing consent stops further collection and clears the analytics identifiers and attribution saved by this site.
Retention
We keep an opaque request identifier in this browser tab to avoid repeating a submission if you refresh. It contains no form details. We retain short-lived request identifiers and delivery outcomes to prevent duplicate submissions, and limited scheduling records to recognize repeated booking notifications. Rate-limiting records use a keyed code derived from the requesting IP address. We keep inquiry, scheduling, and email records for as long as they are useful to respond to you, operate the business, understand site performance, and maintain practical business records. We avoid promising a fixed deletion timeline here because retention depends on the record and the context.
